Purposeful Living
Finishing strong
The measures of a man is not in assets gotten. The true definition of a man is not in his high standard of living. You might be the richest man in your tribe or countryside yet still not rich towards your potentials, purpose, dreams, visions, callings and pursuit. If you are living less of what you are created for then you are but a living corpse, running a race without making impacts or leaving a mark of recognition down on the track. If you are not living for that which you are created for then you are just a creation and not existing, because the vacuum you are meant to occupy is still void. It is only low self esteem pushing people around that will make one leave his track and be competing with another on his lane for a crown which is not his to be kept. No one is competing with you on your lane, the crown at the finish line was just made to fit only you. I did see the foolishness displayed by a young fellow, left his lane to run in another's track, been celebrated by all and sundry for competing for a medal not his, he did get to the finish line first but the crown was not given to him because It won't just fit him. Leaving his land fallow, he went to another's to till and cultivate but when the harvest came, it was not his to keep. Running in vain for a glory not his. There are so many living the life of a nonentity because they wouldn't want to walk in the path to search out for their own identity, always loving ready made fame.
A wise man once told me of the creation of a great mind, he did see the need for a lamp to be set on a hill to light up a city, he did actualize his dream, then came a store keeper to purchase the item, so as to sell it to the king. The king brought it and kept it in his store of gold. The lamp indeed laid there several years, living a glorious life among the articles of gold but was living less of it's purpose, it was celebrated by elites of the town as an article of dignity but was not dignified.
There is an higher calling and a voice beckoning, will you pay attention to it or would you rather give in to the pleasure your body wants?
